Tips to prepare Hindi Language section of IBPS RRB Mains

RRB (Regional Rural Banks) offers relief to all the candidates who find English Language difficult enough to crack a competitive exam. IBPS RRB offers a choice to attempt paper in Hindi Language instead of English Language. The candidates should prepare this section properly to score 30 plus marks in this section. Major topics to prepare for  Hindi Language
  1. Reading Comprehension
  • In IBPS RRB Exam, Reading Comprehension is very significant section and one can expect 5 to 10 questions from it.
  • In Reading Comprehension section, a passage will be provided and candidates are required to answer the questions based on it.
  • Firstly, you should go through the asked questions, and then read the comprehension properly. In this way, you will be saving your precious time while answering the questions.
  • The candidates should not assume answer for any question. You are supposed to answer the questions only after going through the passage properly.
  1. Fill in the Blanks
  • In this topic, the students can expect 5 questions and the asked questions can have single or double filers.
  • The format of the question will have a sentence with one or two blanks. The question will also offer options for the blanks.

  1. Error Spotting
  • In Error Spotting topic, the students can expect 5 to 8 questions.

  1. Cloze Test
  • In Cloze Test topic, the students can expect 5 to 10 questions.
  • In Cloze Test section, a passage is given with some blanks in it and the candidates are supposed to fill in the blanks by selecting the most appropriate given option.
  • In solving these questions, the students should try to put every option in the blank and should look for the most suitable option which suits the theme of the passage appropriately.
  1. Para Jumble
  • In Para Jumble topic, the students can expect 5 questions.
  • The format of question will be- some unarranged sentences are given and students have to arrange them properly to form a proper paragraph.
  • To solve these questions, the students have to identify the starting sentence of the paragraph.
  1. Misspelled Words:
  • In Misspelled Words topic, the students are supposed to identify the correctly spelled word among the given words.
  • The students are required to read Hindi Language Contents regularly to have a strong command on this topic.
  1. Other Important Topics:
There are some other topics, besides above-mentioned topics which can be asked in this section. The topics are given below:
  • Odd One Out:  The students are supposed to choose that word or sentence which is different from all other words/sentences.
  • Synonyms : Synonyms of words
  • Substitute one word for phrase: Substitute One word for a sentence
  • Idioms and folklore

Tips for Hindi Language Section Preparation

  • The students should try to solve previous years question papers for Hindi section of IBPS RRB from Bank Books.
  • The students are supposed to go through Basic Hindi Grammar Books and understand the concepts correctly.
  • The students should download a Hindi Dictionary to have consistent practice of typical and difficult Hindi words. You should practice at least 20 to 25 words daily.
  • The students are required to read Hindi Editorial Section of standard Hindi Newspaper.
